Traditional Norse/Germanic Heathenry for Warriors and Events for Active and Veteran Military

NEXT EVENTS

BLACKSMITHING WORKSHOP FOR ACTIVE AND VETERAN MILITARY NEAR LEONARDTOWN, MARYLAND ON 13 APRIL 2024

This will be hands-on training in old skills for a small group.  We have room for seven participants who will get to work in the forge of a Tribe friend who is a blacksmith, and with his assistant who will be on hand.  Part of the training may be outdoors and with a more rustic Viking theme though not a Viking age forge.  Come dressed as a Viking if you wish some of us will, but long pants, long sleeves, no loose clothing, and closed toe shoes.  Coffee, water, snacks, and a hearty meal around the campfire will be provided free of charge.  We will tell stories and sing Sea Shanties around the fire.  There will be no charge for this training as it is part of our Veterans charitable program; however, donations are always welcome.  We will also have some Tribe tee shirts and bling for those interested in buying as all the profit goes to our 501c3 nonprofit.

This marks the fourth year that we have done blacksmithing, some of those have been in excellent and well-equipped forges, but this session will focus on the more ancient skills and perhaps serve as inspiration to set up your own forge.  Participants will get to forge items like boat hooks or even mead horn holders.

To register you must be an active or veteran military member.  When you register, we will send you an email with the location and contact instructions near Leonardtown, Maryland.  Please do not delay, the small number of slots will go quickly.  Register in the store.

JOIN US AT THE ALAMO IN SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS ON 3 MARCH FOR AN EXCLUSIVE PRIVATE TOUR AND PUB MOOT FOR MILITARY, LEO, AND FIRST REPSONDER HEATHENS INTERESTED IN ODIN’S WARRIOR TRIBE - MEET THE CHIEFTAIN

Join us at 1400 hours (2 pm) on Sunday 3 March 2024 for a private tour of the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas. Meet Tribe members and the Chieftain of the Tribe. The tour will be followed by a Pub Moot nearby.

The Tribe has arranged for a private tour of the legendary Alamo on the weekend anniversary of Texas’s declaration of Independence from Mexico. You must be 21 years or older and register to attend by sending an email to the Tribe at odinswarriortribe@protonmail.com and in that email tell us your name, and whether you are active or veteran military, law enforcement, or a first responder and provide the name of your military service, LEO agency, of first responder status (active, or volunteer, or veteran.) First responders include Fire Department personnel, EMT’s, ER nurses, National Ski Patrol, Mountain Rescue, and such. You will be given contact instructions and a password to use at the entrance to show you signed up. YOU WILL NOT BE ADMITTED ON THE TOUR WITHOUT THE PASSWORD. We have room for nine to sign up to attend with the Tribe members coming. It is going to be a great group and a great time.

We are looking to grow Odin’s Warrior Tribe in Texas and after the tour, we will adjourn to a nearby Bar where the first round of adult beverages is on the Tribe. We will raise our horns to the legendary heroic defenders of the Alamo! Think of them Davy Crockett, Jim Bowie, William Travis, and more. They fought here and fell during the period from February 23 – March 6, 1836.

To RSVP for other events send an email to odinswarriortribe@protonmail.com
